Terms
These are the terms for using MeetBird — the iPhone app and the website. They are written to be read. By creating an account or using MeetBird you agree to them.
What MeetBird is
MeetBird records conversations — in the room, on calls in your browser, on your iPhone — and turns them into transcripts that say who said what, summaries, decisions and action items. You can ask questions about your meetings by typing or, in beta, by talking to the bird.
Your account
You sign in with a six-digit code we email you, so your account is as safe as your email. Keep it to yourself, and tell us at hello@meetbird.ai if you think someone else has used it. One account is for one person.
Your recordings are yours
You own what you record and what MeetBird makes from it. You give us permission to store it and process it only to run the service for you — which includes sending it to the providers named in our privacy page for the job each one does. We don't sell it, and we don't use it to advertise to you.
Recording people is your responsibility
MeetBird records what your device hears. Before you record a conversation, tell the people in it, and where the law requires their consent, get it. The rules differ between countries and states — sometimes everyone must agree — and you are responsible for following the ones that apply to you. Don't use MeetBird to record anyone secretly.
Use it fairly
- Don't record or upload anything you have no right to.
- Don't use MeetBird to harass, surveil or harm anyone, or for anything illegal.
- Don't try to break, overload, or get around the limits and security of the service.
Notes written by software
Transcripts, speaker labels, summaries and answers are produced automatically and can be wrong — a misheard word, a voice given to the wrong person, a summary that misses a nuance. Every answer shows where it came from so you can check it against the recording. Don't rely on MeetBird alone for anything where a mistake would be costly.
Plans and limits
MeetBird is free to start, with monthly limits shown in your profile — recorded minutes, and later questions and voice time. MeetBird Pro lifts them, within fair use: if one account records far more than any person could, we will write to you before anything changes. Features marked beta — like talking to the bird — may change, have their own limits, or be withdrawn.
Subscriptions
MeetBird Pro is an auto-renewing subscription sold in the iPhone app through Apple's App Store, monthly or yearly, at the price shown on the screen before you buy. Apple charges your Apple Account when you confirm, and the subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends; Apple charges the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends. If a free trial is offered, it turns into a paid subscription when it ends unless you cancel before then, and any unused part of a trial ends when you buy.
You manage and cancel the subscription in your iPhone's Settings, under your Apple Account's Subscriptions; cancelling stops the next renewal and keeps Pro until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting your MeetBird account does not cancel an App Store subscription — cancel it with Apple too. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. The App Store's Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to the app alongside these terms.
If you leave, or we have to part ways
You can stop using MeetBird at any time: export your data, delete it, and ask us to close your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and will tell you why unless the law or safety prevents it. If we ever shut MeetBird down, we will give you notice and time to export your data first.
The service as it is
We work to keep MeetBird running and your data safe, but we provide it as it is and as available, without promises that it will never be interrupted or never make a mistake. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses arising from using it, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app or by email before the change takes effect. The date at the top always shows the latest version.
